Rebrand: Having Luck Hotpot
This is a student rebranding assignment. Jiaping has selected a hot pot brand for redesign. The restaurant is based in Beijing, and its decor is deeply rooted in traditional Chinese style, featuring bright colors. Jiaping used the interior design of the restaurant as inspiration and collaged various ingredients to create a visual language.
This hot pot restaurant offers a wide variety of ingredients, making it appealing not only to meat lovers but also to vegetarians. It's also very child-friendly, which I believe is a key element in attracting customers.

Research
I researched the visual language of Having Luck Hotpot and learned about its culture and characteristics. I assumed that the brand is planning to expand into the American market. Therefore, the challenge I need to consider is how to make the brand’s culture appealing to local customers. I also reviewed several popular Chinese restaurant websites in the U.S. Through research on similar restaurants and the original brand’s characteristics, I began creating a new style guide, sitemap, and wireframe for this brand.

The homepage allows quick access to sections like Cuisine, About Us, Order Now, and Contact Us. Clicking the brand logo in the upper left corner will take users back to the homepage. Additionally, people can quickly view the dishes by clicking on the homepage advertisement.
Jiaping has designed the cuisine in a collage style. On one hand, it helps customers intuitively view the ingredients, and on the other, it aligns with the brand’s visual language. Since the restaurant offers multiple types of hot pot, to make it easier for customers to find what they want, users can click the food icons on the left side of the page to select different types of hot pot.
